Salisbury is the hub of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. It features a wide variety of locally-owned restaurants, plenty of entertainment and recreation options, and close proximity to beaches and the major metropolitan areas of Baltimore and DC.
Looking for family-friendly ideas? The Salisbury City Park and Zoo is free to enjoy and a great place to spend a nice afternoon. If you like sports, head on out to a home game of the Delmarva Shorebirds. The Third Friday of each month brings the community together downtown for live music, local artists, food trucks, other vendors, and much more.
If the night life is more your scene, there are a wealth of bars and restaurants to choose from – and the Downtown Salisbury Trolley will transport you to many of them. Evolution Public House, Brew River, and the Downtown Plaza are regular stops on the trolley route.
Salisbury University, “A Maryland University of National Distinction” as the motto goes, is also in Salisbury. The university has been named a Top 100 best value public college by numerous finance publications, and is ranked in the top 15% of regional four-year public colleges nationwide by Princeton Review.
